Nuclear Power - A Desirable Energy Source? A survey carried out in 1996, in connection with my Specialised Language Diploma and BA degree in English at Southern Denmark Business School, published through the SDBS's library. After a brief description of the most common nuclear power plant types, I compare the advantages and disadvantages of the various energy sources available with respect to safety, environmental impact, certainty of supply, and production costs. In the final chapter I conclude that nuclear power should account for approx. 80 % of the electricity production in Denmark and all other countries with little or no access to hydro-power.
